Captain Phillips

I went and saw Captain Phillips at the movie theater with my mom this past weekend. I was such a great movie! Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi stole the show! The completely consumed themselves into these character both physically and emotionally. The last ten minutes is amazing and will bring you to tears.

What I don't get, is when I read headlines like this on the newspaper... "Some saying real Captain Phillips was not like character portrayed in new film"

This article basically says that says that Captain Phillips was not the true hero depicted on film. He had been warned by the crew to not get so close to the Somali waters but he didn't listen to them,  For this reason there are 11 crew members that want to sue.

I just think all of this is silly because the film was amazing and the credit should be given to the film makers for making it so well and for giving us a little bit of an idea of what happened in our history. Credit should also be given to The actors for giving us such and emotionally intense film. Barkhad Abdi was a bad pirate but still I felt sorry for him. He played his role so well and I just felt for him and his situation.

I wont go any further before I give everything away but I hope you all see the film and read the article and give me your feed back.

Glee #RememberingCory

So I finally got myself to watch the Glee episode where Finn's sudden death is announced.... It took me almost two weeks to get myself to watch it because I was worried about how sad it was going to be.

We should probably all know by now that Cory Monteith passed away over the summer from a drug overdose. I followed this story a lot because I am a big Glee fan and Finn Hudson was definitely my favorite character by far.

Not only did Finn have a great relationship with his on screen girlfriend Rachel but he also had an off screen relationship with the star behind Rachel, Lea Michelle. This episode was so hard to watch because it was so real. Lea Michelle and the rest of the Glee cast had to film a very personal mourning period and play it for viewers all around the world.

I'm not judging them for their choice to follow through with this but I don't know how a person can physically do that. If you have ever gone through a loss you know it is definitely not something you really want the whole world to view.

The episode did not yet say how the character Finn passed they have only said that he is gone.

Since this goodbye episode there has been another episode which was probably equally as sad but I have yet to watch that. Please don't spoil it if you have.

Chicago Fire

I just started watching Chicago Fire recently but it is so good. The characters have really great personalities and I don't feel like missing the first season makes it less enjoyable like some shows. I always wonder when I watch shows like this if the real world is anything at all like the show. Like, is there some way this show and the drama in it is based off of real fire fighters and EMT's?

I think this show is still growing in popular but its twitter seems more lax then a lot of  the other shows I keep up with. They only have 84 thousand followers while most other shows I follow have 100's of thousands and some up to 1 million followers. I'm hoping it stays on air and gains more viewers and followers.
