So I finally got myself to watch the Glee episode where Finn's sudden death is announced.... It took me almost two weeks to get myself to watch it because I was worried about how sad it was going to be.
We should probably all know by now that Cory Monteith passed away over the summer from a drug overdose. I followed this story a lot because I am a big Glee fan and Finn Hudson was definitely my favorite character by far.
Not only did Finn have a great relationship with his on screen girlfriend Rachel but he also had an off screen relationship with the star behind Rachel, Lea Michelle. This episode was so hard to watch because it was so real. Lea Michelle and the rest of the Glee cast had to film a very personal mourning period and play it for viewers all around the world.
I'm not judging them for their choice to follow through with this but I don't know how a person can physically do that. If you have ever gone through a loss you know it is definitely not something you really want the whole world to view.
The episode did not yet say how the character Finn passed they have only said that he is gone.
Since this goodbye episode there has been another episode which was probably equally as sad but I have yet to watch that. Please don't spoil it if you have.

I started watching Glee during the second season and by the third it was too crazy for me to believe anymore. It's good to hear they paid tribute to one of their own. Even more, I heard one of the songs from the episode you talked about in this post and thought it was well done.
ReplyDeleteYeah it has started kind of going all over the place. This season is going to be the last season.
